Message from the Principal

Dear Martha Cullimore School Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my excitement about my appointment as the new principal at Martha Cullimore Public School. Martha Cullimore School has a reputation of excellence and I feel fortunate to be joining a school culture focused on learning in a supportive and collaborative manner. I am thankful for the warm welcome I have received.

I am an experienced educator who has served as a classroom teacher, literacy resource teacher and I am currently beginning my eighth year as an administrator. Although I bring many years of experience to my newest school, I am energized to continue my learning journey with the students, staff and families in the Martha Cullimore community.

I truly believe that genuine collaboration influences rich learning experiences. Supporting our children to do well at school, and in their lives, is the centre of our work. I value a strong partnership between parents and the school, and I am committed to working with you and the School Advisory Council to foster a positive educational experience for all students. There are many ways in which you can support your child’s learning. Regular use of the agenda is a valuable tool for communication between home and school. Also, reading monthly newsletters and other information coming home will keep you in touch with what is happening in the classroom and at the school.

As I make the transition to Martha Cullimore School, I am aware of the anticipation and eagerness that accompanies new leadership in any organization. It is my goal to spend time learning about our school and getting to know the Martha Cullimore community. I am excited to be working with a creative and dynamic staff that is committed to provide optimal learning opportunities for every child’s success. Our dedication to student success is what makes Martha Cullimore a special place!

If I did not meet you at our Open House, or at some time during the past couple of weeks, then please stop by and introduce yourself.
